1.1 Purpose of experiment

This practical tutorial is based on the rich experience of Sunplus Technology's many years of internal training of newcomers, and it has perfected a set of mature and available digital chip design information. This user manual is based on the Windows SP7021 IDE integrated development environment independently developed by Sunplus, and is explained through the design process of a simple 7-segment display controller IP core; from IP module design to SOC system integration, to system software programming development, from shallow to deep, step by step, and finally achieve the following goals.

• Master the basic requirements and design methods of integrated circuit IP core design.

• Understand integrated circuit SOC chip design system system

• Master VerilogHDL hardware programming and application

• Master Xilinx Vivado FPGA development process

• Familiar with the mainstream AMBA bus system in the industry

• Proficient in C programming and debugging skills

• Familiar with computer architecture and microcomputer principles
